The long-lost biopic about Tupac Shakur might happen after all as Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films is ready to co-produce and co-finance the project teaming up with Morgan Creek Productions. A $45 million budget is set and the release is to be expected on February as we read on Deadline. Tupac's mother, Afeni Shakur, will join the producers team and the crew has all rights to his music catalogue.
Tupac was shot in Las Vegas 18 years ago and died a week later at the age of 25, but nevertheless became a worldwide icon as a hip hop artist and sold over 75 million albums. He more than deserves a project like this.
