'Game of Thrones' Season 5: Lena Headey's Nude Scene To Go Ahead After Church Conflict

The highly-anticipated premiere of Game of Thrones season 5 is still months away, yet news about its production is on full blast as early as now.

Just this Wednesday, the Croatian government finally gave the production crew the go signal to start filming one of the most important scenes for Cersei Lanister, played by actress Lena Headey.

Followers of George RR Martin's book series "A Song of Ice and Fire" know that this is the moment when Cersei will have to appear in public undressed for her walk of shame.

Previously, the HBO production team members were having problems getting a permit from the city government of Dubrovnik where most of the scenes for the King's Landing were filmed. The Catholic Church of St. Nicholas was opposed to the nude scene because of "immoral" grounds.

However, TMZ reported that the city and HBO have reached an agreement allowing Headey to be filmed without clothes while walking from Stadun Street up to the Sponza Palace as long as she does not enter a church. HBO has decided that they will set up a fake church location to be consistent with the details written in the books.
