Just under two years ago, WobbleWorks LLC. set out to raise $30,000 on Kickstarter to fund the development of their first 3Doodler 3D printing pen. A couple of weeks later, the crowdfunding campaign ended as an overwhelming success. In total, they brought in over $2.3 million, and have since sold over 130,000 3Doodler pens.
With their new 3Doodler 2.0 unveiled at CES 2015, WobbleWorks has done it again. Their latest device is completely redesigned, it is slimmer, weighs only 50 grams and is just a quarter the size of the original 3Doodler, making it no larger than a marker pen. It is also housed in a sleek anodized aluminium casing that gives it a more premium look and feel.
Internally, the new 3D pen features an entirely new nozzle design with a fully re-engineered drive system for much smoother performance and crisper doodles. It now also has dual speed control, reflecting the needs of 3Doodler users for a faster extruding pen, and all that under half the voltage of the original 3Doodler.
The campaign is now over but based off the success of the previous version, it’s likely that you’ll see 3Doodler 2.0 in retail outlets near you later this year. Some early backers were able to pay $85 (or $50 in the first 15 minutes) to pre-order theirs along with 100 strands of filament while the supplies lasted. The price has since been increased to $99. All early backers will have their 3D pens shipped to them by the end of March.

DeleteWhat part of the first paragraph did you not understand??? the kick starter has ended... there is no link.... if u want to buy one use that hard to understand website called GOOGLE... it may help you find a place selling one... so learn 2 Google learn 2 read or learn 2 have some class... IGNORANT people like you are a plague
Deletereally dude? that's how you're going to deal with the endless of shitty readers you're going to get? look man, the guy has only one point, I too was expecting some kind of link that will link me to the product page source so I can view more information and potentially purchase. Why? Because you want people to be redirected to the 3D doodler pen coming from your website not by Google. The more that major companies see that their traffic is being directed from your website brings up the potential of them wanting to advertise with you. By telling people to go "google" it you're just giving Google the business. It is YOUR responsibility to give product information when you create an article about it because it
Delete1) helps you gain credibility by people knowing they can depend on you and the website for sourcing
2) people will know that they will get the best info from you and this news site
I get it that the dude above said some pretty shitty things, but you can't react like that. I promise you'll lose readers like that. I've seen countless of news sites interacting with their readers in this matter and they all failed. I hope you'll take this advice.

ReplyDeleteWhat a pro writer you are Adam. Terrific journalism, but what's better is how you deal with criticism. Your article has told me nothing, I award you no points.
